District Governor

Paul and his wife Dr. Paula Decker live in Hartland, Wisconsin where he is a member of the Rotary Club of Hartland-Lake Country and both are proud Paul Harris Fellows. After serving the club as president he became Assistant Governor in Area E, and served as District Trainer. Paula works in school administration and curriculum development.

Paul is a lung cancer survivor who never smoked and displayed no tell-tale symptoms, but lost his right lung in 1997. Fighting through extensive chemo and radiation, Paul rebuilt his body and life. In 2006 he completed his Masters Degree in Management and Organizational Development.

Professionally, he is a sought after business and inspirational speaker lauded for his work on generational and leadership issues in society in his “Living and Working in the 21st Century” and inspirational presentations to many business, civic and government organizations.  He is a consultant and trainer for a growing list of clients in private industry in strategic organizational development, leadership, sales, marketing and customer service.  He also is a part-time Instructor in the Small Business center at Waukesha County Technical College, and was re-elected to the Waukesha County Board of Supervisors in April 2010 and serves on the Hartland Village Planning Commission.

Paul is on several for-profit and non-profit Boards, including the American Cancer Society Midwest Division. He has represented cancer survivors in Madison, WI and Washington D.C. He also enjoys golf, gardening, cooking, wine collecting, music, hunting, reading, Badger games and living each day with gusto.

Term

The Rotary District 6270 Governor term runs through June 30, 2011. District Governor Elect is Nancy Rhodes. District Governor Nominee is Rick Debe.
