District Governor

Theodore (Ted) Gurzynski has an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a graduate degree from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management, Glendale, Az.   He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970.  He has spent over 40 years in the international and commercial banking fields and is presently Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer & Senior Risk Manager for PyraMax Bank, FSB.

History with Rotary

Ted has been a Rotarian since 1982.  He was a charter member in the district’s first breakfast club—Elmbrook, and later joined Mitchell Field Rotary serving as President for Rotary year 1995-96.  In 1998, Ted joined Milwaukee Rotary and has served on the Board of Directors and is past chair of the International Committee.  At the district level, Ted has served on the World Community Service Committee and as Assistant District Governor. He recently was a team member on a Polio Plus National Immunization Drive in Niger, Africa, in 2006; went to Haiti on a Rotary vision mission in 2007 and another NID to Nigeria in 2007.  Ted and his wife Kathy are both Paul Harris fellows and benefactors of the Foundation at level two.

Other Interests

Ted was ordained a permanent deacon in the Catholic Church in 1984.  He has served on numerous corporate boards and community boards over the years.  Currently Ted serves as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors for the Community Bankers of Wisconsin and the mutual advisory committee for the Independent Community Bankers of America, Washington,D.C.

Ted and his wife Kathy have been married for over 40 years.  They have three adult children and two grandchildren.  His hobbies include golf and horses.

Term

The Rotary District 6270 Governor term runs through June 30, 2008. District Governor Elect is Tamie Koop. District Governor Nominee is William Wresch.
