APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED

     The primary purpose of this matching grant is to increase the non-Rotarian public image of both the local Rotary Club or Clubs and Rotary International. It is intended to spur interest and ultimately action on increasing membership within those participating clubs and/or their communities.
 
 
      District 6270 will match funds (dollar per dollar) allocated up to $2500 per club or clubs if working jointly, but capped at a maximum of $25,000 of District Funding for all grants combined.   
 
     Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis for eligible participating Club or Clubs. Funds will be dispersed as follows: 50% at initial approval and the remaining funds after paid receipts are submitted along with the final report no later than 12 months from the Grant’s acceptance. The District will notify all club or clubs of status within 30 days of submission.
 
     The application can be found under "Site Pages" (see right hand column).  Click on "Grants - Rotary" and look at the left hand menu.  Under "District Grants" you will find "Public Image Grant 2016-17 - Application."
 
The Grant requirements should follow all District Grant application rules on the District 6270 website:
  1. The Rotary Club or Clubs must have contributed at least $1000 each of the last 2 years to the Rotary Foundation. New Rotary Clubs established within 3 years are exempt from this requirement.
  2. The Club(s) must submit a District 6270 PI Grant Application describing how its efforts will increase the Public image of Rotary and attract members. The plan should include the target market, the media selected, Club(s) financial participation along with membership and visitor goals.
  3. The Club(s) must have a written follow up plan of action on new members and the clubs target membership growth for 2016-2017 registered with Rotary International.
  4. The Club(s) must complete the project and finish all promotional ads, print, mailings or other described action plan, before final reimbursement funds are sent by the District. A fully paid receipt from the vendors must accompany the reimbursement request. The District will review and reimburse the club in a prompt manner.
  5. Funds may not be used to support any other project, fund raiser, or regularly scheduled Rotary meeting or event.
  6. The Four Way test will apply to all applications.
  7. The maximum reimbursement amount will be up to $2500 per Club or Clubs and set by the Executive committee prior to approval.
