Many Rotarians in D6270 are very active in Haiti and have been serving communities there for a number of years.    There is a young man from the Mirebalais Club who has been very valuable to the team of Rotarians as interpreter and general go-to person in the area.   He would love to be able to attend the Rotaract Annual Conference of District 7020 so he can learn more about Rotary and how he can serve his countrymen, but the cost of $2600 is impossible for him to achieve on this own.
If any of your clubs, or club members, can help, in any amount, please contact Heidi Thomas at hrthomas@alexssa.net.   Heidi is a dedicated Rotarian from the Rotary Club of West Bend and has been traveling to serve the people of Haiti for many years.
The money is needed by March 15th so she can forward it to Haiti to meet the registration deadline for the conference.

**  The future of Rotary is the next generation - and the way to improve a country such as Haiti is to encourage growth and sustainability from within.    What better way than to help the next generation of Rotarians in that country.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide toward our goal to    LIGHT UP ROTARY !
