THE ROTARY CLUB OF KENOSHA WEST SEEKS TEAMS FOR:

PLEASANT PRAIRIE DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL

The Pleasant Prairie Dragon Boat Festival is Saturday, August 1, 2015 on beautiful Lake Andrea in Pleasant Prairie.  Formerly the Kenosha Dragon Boat Festival, the Rotary Club of Kenosha West is sponsoring this year's event.

Pat DeGrace, Rotary West coordinator, said, "This is a great team-building opportunity for local businesses and organizations.  Lake Andrea is beautiful," he said.  "The water is warm and this is a perfect place to have a fun activity at your company or organization's annual picnic."

Last year, 14 teams from around the region participated.  "We are hopeful that more local businesses will see this as an opportunity to get behind a local service club with a fun activity for their employees," DeGrace said.

The races are coordinated by PanAm Dragon Boating out of Tampa, FL.

"You don't have to be a professional paddler to participate," DeGrace said.  "There are opportunities for practice and most of the teams are novice level.  It's just a lot of fun for a beautiful summer weekend in Kenosha County."
